Wax headed mannequin boy.
i cannot really tell you very much about this item , but I think it was made in France. I have had one of these before, though with a bisque head. This boy has a wax head which is on a pole. This slots into a wax shoulder plate. It is all in excellent condition. I would guess it is about 100 years old.
All the hair is inserted, and the eyes are made of glass. The body has jointed arms, and jointed fingers, however the body rest of the body is not jointed, so he is not able to sit. He is 40 inches tall. There is a hole in the base of one foot, where a dowl on a stand could go to keep him secure. I have him standing using a large doll stand. He can stand on his own, but I think he needs a stand to keep him safe.
